About this website

This website adheres to the following five principles.

1. Personal voice

This website is written in Anne-Wil's personal voice and does not use GenAI. Anne-Wil's blog also contains guest posts by individual academics. These guest posts are vetted for fit with the website's ethos, but Anne-Wil takes no responsibility for their content.

2. Experience based

This website's advice is based on Anne-Wil's 35+ years of experience in research leadership and creating supportive, inclusive, and collaborative research cultures. However, it doesn't claim to be applicable to every single academic in every single disciplinary or country context.

3. Freshness monitored

This website is actively maintained and invidual pages are regularly updated. Most of the advice provided is timeless. However, my blog has celebrated its 10th anniversary and thus some of the earlier blogposts might no longer be applicable to current-day academia.

4. No monetization

This website does not use any monitization; I cover all the expenses of operating my website privately. If you want to support me in maintaining my website, consider buying a copy of one of my books (see above) or supporting the Publish or Perish software.

5. Corrections welcomed

If you find any errors or broken links on this website, please email Anne-Wil with the webpage address and any supporting information.
