11.2 Identify key authors/journals/publications in a field

In addition to doing a quick general search on what has been published in a particular field, Publish or Perish can also be used to do a more in-depth literature search. You can for instance find out who the founding fathers (or mothers) of a particular field are and which countries they come from, what the journals are in which academics most frequently publish about this topic. Also, once you have found a key publication in the field, you can do further research following up on this publication.
